Growing up as the "fat kid", my family teased me for being fat. I got laughed at at schoolfor being fat. I got made fun of at church for being fat. I know what it's like to not feel good about myself and wanted to find a way to change that.
I was eating lots of junk food, constantly drinking beers, had no confidence and didn't want to be seen naked, so I didn't date. I knew that I needed discipline, I needed answers and I needed to change the way I looked at my habits and to own up to when I was cheating or hurting myself through my choices.
Overtime, I found all of those and I got to begin falling in love with myself for the first time. I really began to appreciate my ability to commit to something and see it through, because I was exercising and disciplined. Instead of food or alcohol, exercise became my "safe-space". To me, I couldn't think of a better gift to give myself and everyone deserves to give themself that gift.
